A new approach

Elsevier is increasing the discoverability and accessibility of information in its encyclopedias. Promoting interdisciplinary research by means of interactive context maps, our online tools will provide thousands of authoritative, validated articles coded to match a user’s level of understanding. Articles will be date-stamped and revised regularly.

Beginning in 2012 we plan to publish modules in chemistry, neuroscience, biomedical, and earth and environmental sciences, followed by materials science and social sciences. By accelerating the discovery of high quality, current information, this suite of tools is another example of Elsevier’s 125 year-old collaboration with students, scholars, and researchers everywhere.
